Less than an hour after receiving it, Governor M. Jodi Rell tonight vetoed the Democratic tax plan contained in substitute House Bill 7400, An Act Concerning Motion Picture Tax Credits, which would have increased taxes by hundreds of millions of dollars in support of a budget projected to increase state spending by 10.5 percent, according to a release from her office.
